Juliana Onwumere

Co lead for Workstream 2: Informal Carers & Policy, Capacity building and Impact

Dr Juliana Onwumere is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Reader in Clinical Psychology at King’s College London and South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. Within CARE-HSC, she co-leads the Informal Carers workstream and co leads the Policy, Capacity Building and Impact core theme, focusing on how systems of care can better recognise and support those providing both paid and unpaid care.

Beyond CARE-HSC, Juliana chairs the South London Building Race Equity and Diversity (BREaD) in Research Network, which brings together researchers, healthcare partners, and community organisations to embed equity, diversity, and inclusion across research and clinical practice. Her work bridges academic research, clinical experience, and community engagement to create fairer and more inclusive health and social care systems.
