Our Website Accessibility Statement and Standards
This website accessibility statement explains CARE-HSC’s commitment to ensuring our website is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. In addition, it describes the standards we follow, the steps we take to improve accessibility, and how users can request support or provide feedback.
About This Website Accessibility Statement
We follow recognised accessibility standards and continually review our website to maintain inclusivity. In particular, we aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards. These guidelines define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities and outline three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
Importantly, accessibility is a shared responsibility at CARE-HSC. We continuously work to improve our site and services so that all users, including those with visual, auditory, cognitive, or mobility impairments, can access content seamlessly and without barriers. Because of this, we actively review our site to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions where possible.
Ongoing Improvements
We aim to make all pages and content on care-hsc.com accessible. However, some content may not yet fully meet the highest accessibility standards. This is due to technical limitations or the need to identify the most suitable long-term solution. As a result, we prioritise addressing these challenges promptly and effectively.
We review this website accessibility statement periodically to reflect updates and improvements in our accessibility practices.
Feedback and Contact
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of the CARE-HSC website. If you encounter obstacles to accessibility or require content in an alternative format, please contact us via our Contact page or email us directly.
Email: care_hsc@kcl.ac.uk
Importantly, we aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 3–5 business days.
