Meet the Steering Committee
Fatumo Osman is a registered nurse, senior lecturer, and Professor at Dalarna University. Her work sits at the intersection of global health, migration, and health equity, with a strong emphasis on participatory approaches that centre the voices of underrepresented communities. She collaborates widely with Swedish, Nordic, and international researchers on projects exploring parental support for seldom-heard groups, the mental health of parents and children, and the ways migration shapes health and parenting experiences. Her research also includes leading studies on racism in maternity care in Sweden and the UK, as well as examining accessibility in primary healthcare for racialised minority patients.
